Through gaps in the forest canopy, the marvelous peaks are sighted, easily easy to get to and among the uppermost in Africa, indicating an ascent. Day 3:Gorilla Tracking Adventure in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Today enjoy surely. After breakfast, proceed for the morning briefing before enjoying the highlight of the trip- Gorilla trekking, which may last the entire day. We trek through the rainforest and bamboo covered slopes, accompanied by a guide and trackers, in search of a mountain gorilla family. The walking can sometimes be tough and long, but when you catch a glimpse of the magnificent silverback, any discomforts will be quickly forgotten. When sighted, visitors will be guided to within 6 meters from the gorillas, sit around them for a whole hour while gazing into their big round eyes.

Gorilla trekking is unpredictable. It’s difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike. The gorilla excursion can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Expect to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. A good physical condition is recommended. For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. A ranger will brief you on how to behave with the gorillas.

Day 4:  Return to Kigali, visit Gisozi Genocide Memorial and museum, transfer to airport

Following breakfast, you will leave for Kigali. You have the opportunity to visit the Gisozi Genocide Memorial Museum. The memorial is very moving – the tour takes a couple of hours – and will be of interest to anyone who has spent some time in this enchanting country. It is in memory of the multitudes murdered in Rwanda´s genocide 1994. The Memorial sites and centers are places of dignified remembrance for loved ones lost. It is also a place of reflection and learning for the wider community, both in Rwanda and internationally. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the airport. 

5 DAYS UGANDA RWANDA GORILLA TRACKING ADVENTURE.

Itinerary for 5 days Uganda and Rwanda Mountain Gorilla trek tour with Lake Bunyonyi

Day 1: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Our tour guide will meet you at your hotel in Kampala and drive west to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. Have a journey break at the Equator and take some photos. Then continue to Mbarara town where you will stop for lunch prior to heading through the grasslands of Ankole. If you are trekking in the southern part of Bwindi where Nkuringo and Nshongi Families of gorillas are located, you will have a lunch stop in Kabale before you proceed to Kisoro.

Along the road you will enjoy the beauty of the wonderful long horned cattle before going on to the highlands of Kigezi referred to as the ‘Switzerland of Africa! You will arrive in Bwindi in the evening; freshen up as you wait for dinner and overnight.

Day2:Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest.
Take a hearty breakfast after which a ranger then move to the ranger station for briefing from ranger guides who will guide you through the impenetrable forest. Tracking the Gorillas through the thick forest is awe-Inspiring experience! In case you are lucky you can get to see the gorillas, spend 1 hour with them, and be back at the lodge in time for dinner. Remember to carry packed lunch, enough water as this activity is so tiring, it’s also important to wear good hiking boots of an ankle level and long trousers for protection against stinging nettles.

Take breakfast and depart for Rwanda. You will cross the border via Kisoro or Kabale then clear at the boarder – Rwanda is 1 hour behind Uganda. Located in the far northwest of Rwanda, the Parc des Volcans is home to the steep slopes of this wonderful mountain range – home of the rare mountain gorilla – and the rich mosaic of montane ecosystems, which cuddles evergreen and bamboo forest, open grassland, swamp and heath.

6DAYS GORILLA TREKKING ADVENTURE IN UGANDA AND RWANDA.
Day 1: Arrive Kigali
on arrival at the airport you will transfer to Kigali where you will be briefed about your Rwanda safari. Following lunch, leave for PNV at around 2pm. This drive to the north will take you through the stunning terraced hillsides which characterize most of Rwanda’s terrain, gradually ascending to the foothills of the amazing Virunga volcanoes, and in fact you may be able to see 5 volcano peaks.

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking Rwanda

Set out gorilla tracking in the Parc National des Volcans (based on the availability of the trekking permit at the time of making your booking). Tracking the mountain gorillas through the light forested mountain slopes of the stunning Virungas is a thrilling experience. When you eventually meet the gorillas, you will allowed an hour with them, seeing them feed, play and look for their young ones. From here you will return for a late lunch at your lodge. Important to note is that some gorilla families are hard to find the tracking may last the entire day especially during the rainy months as the paths are quite muddy.

Day 3: Golden Monkey trekking   experience

Today you will Visit the beautiful golden monkeys (at an extra fee payable at the time of booking) or opt to drive directly to Gisenyi, or visit Ross Carr’s orphanage as well as Lake Kivu, or walk to Lake Burera, or hike the Bisoke or Muhabura volcanoes, or alternatively visit one of the local schools and the local community projects.

Day 4: Trek Dian Fossey’s visit and transfer to Uganda.

7 DAYS RWANDA UGANDA GORILLA TRACKING EXCURSION.

Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Pick up from either your hotel in Kigali or from the Kigali international airport be transferred to Kigali for a city tour including a genocide memorial site and shopping of African art and craft. Later, proceed to Musanze former Ruhengeri to enjoy the rolling hills for which Rwanda is famous for. Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla view lodge /Le bamboo gorillas /Muhabura guest house

Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Ibyiwacu Cultural Village
Start off with early breakfast and be transferred to Kinigi Park Headquarter for briefing before you start the trekking activity in the park. Trekking for gorillas is tough, strenuous and tiring, the time spends looking for gorillas are un predicable. But coming in contact with the great primates is well worth the effort. You spend one hour with the gorillas watching them do their day today activities, its quite breath taking. Dinner and overnight at your hotel of Day1

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi National Park
After breakfast, cross to Uganda via the Katuna border and drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, the home for the mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight at Gorilla Forest Camp / Bakiga Lodge

Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
Wake up to an early breakfast at your hotel then continue with your guide with packed lunch boxes to the Bwindi Head offices for a briefing about how to conduct during your trekking adventure. You will then enter the thick impenetrable forest in search for the rare fascinating giants. After a full hour with them while observing and learning their behavior as you take photos, return to the Camp for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Transfer from Bwindi Forest to Queen Elizabeth National Pak.
After your breakfast, you will drive northwards to Queen Elizabeth NP going through the Ishasha sector to view tree climbing lions. You will enjoy the Ishasha game drive in search for the tree climbing lions as you look out for other wildlife like the kobs, topis, buffalos and a variety of antelope species grazing in the Ishasha plains. Have lunch and proceed to Mweya reaching in the late afternoon for an evening game drive and later check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari lodge (luxury ), Enganzi lodge (Mid-range).

Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking – Afternoon boat cruise
Wake up to an early breakfast and head out for chimp tracking in Kalinzu forest reserve. Return to the lodge for lunch and later embark on a boat cruise along Kazinga channel to have a glimpse of the park’s wildlife variety including Elephants, buffalos, kobs, topis, water bucks, bush bucks, crocodiles and hippos among others that always storm the channel for water in the afternoon. You may also be captivated by charming bird species like the kingfishers, pelicans, African martial eagle, African fish eagle, African skimmer and if lucky, the prehistoric looking shoe bill among others.

Day 6: Enjoy the Game drive and cross back to Rwanda
Take an early breakfast and head for Kasenyi trail for an amazing game drive in search for the parks 100 mammal species. Look out for the early raisers like the lions, leopards, hyenas, jackals among others as they return from their night’s hunt. You may also see herds of buffalos, elephants, bush bucks, water bucks, gazelles, topis, kobs, among others. Return to check out at the lodge and start your journey back to Rwanda.

Day 7: Kigali City tour – and Departure
Have breakfast at the lodge and later drive back to Kigali for a grand city tour. Expect to tour historical places like the genocide memorial site, the national museum. Later have lunch and drop off at either your hotel or the airport.

8DAYS UGANDA RWANDA GORILLA TREKKING SAFARI.

Day 1: Arrival and transfer to hotel.

Upon your arrival at the airport, our safari driver will pick you up and then drive you to Kigali town for your restful evening. Dinner and overnight stay at Serena Hotel/Hotel Desmille Collines (Luxury), Lemigo Hotel (mid-range), and Flame tree Village (Budget).

Day 2: Kigali city tour and transfer to volcanoes national park.

After you morning breakfast at your hotel the drive will pick up for Kigali city where you will visit some of the places like the genocide memorial, the presidential palace, Visit Kigali museum plus the local markets in Kigali Town. Enjoy your lunch in one of the hotels in Kigali and later embark on your journey to volcanoes national park a home to mountain gorillas. Day 3: Gorilla tracking in the Rwanda Virungas

After your breakfast transfer to the park headquarters at Kinigi for briefing after which you start trekking gorillas in the Rwanda Volcano national park at 8.30 am. It will take you 2 to 6 hours to encounter the mountain gorillas and once found you will be allowed to view, interact and photograph the gorillas for only 1 hour.

Day 4: Cross to Uganda.

After your early morning breakfast transfer to Uganda by road through the Kigezi Highlands commonly referred to the Switzerland of Africa to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After resting and having lunch, take a community walk to the animist native marginalized Pygmies (the Batwa) people whose cultural performances will freshen and usher you in a great deal of excitement even before you see gorillas. Day 5: Gorilla Tracking in Uganda-Bwindi

After an early morning breakfast go for a briefing at the park headquarters at Buhoma before tracking the gorillas at 8.30 am. You will take between an hours to a full day to encounter the gorillas in the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest jungle ranges depending on their movement. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi is the highlight of a Uganda safari. This Uganda wildlife tour experience is incomparable to none.

Connect to the Ruroko Track that passes rock kopjes that are home to the elusive klipspringer. Continue to Lyantonde for your onward transfer to Kampala, you will make a stop-over at the Equator for handicrafts and photography and Arrive in Kampala and stay at your designated hotel.

Day 8: Kampala City Tour
