With this trip, you will drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest and have that road experience in the countryside. Then, the third day after gorilla tracking, you fly to Entebbe and have another experience. This kind of trip arrangement can be done vice versa, going to Bwindiby flying and return by road or going by road and return by flying, whatever one may choose.
Trip Plan
Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Early morning, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Bwindi Forest. The flight usually takes 50 minutes -1 hour basing of the area of Bwindi where you will land. Upon landing, a waiting driver will transfer you to the lodge for a restful day. Have your accommodation stay at Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge or Clouds Lodge (Full Board)
Day 2: Uganda Gorilla Trekking
From your bed, take breakfast, transfer to park offices for briefing about gorilla trekking and then walk to the forest for a real gorilla encounter. When you bump into the gorillas after some strenuous hiking, you will be filled with happiness and joy. You will take pictures; ask your guide some questions as you observe the gorillas intensely to your amusement. After an hour at the gorilla spot, return to the lodge for a peaceful stay. Overnight stay and dinner at Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge or Clouds Lodge (Full Board)
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala by Road
Start the day with an early breakfast and then set off across thebeautiful hills of Kabale as you return to Kampala. Have lunch enroute and continue to Kampala making a briefstopover at the Uganda Equator for some simple break and Mpambire traditional handicraft makers. Arrive in Kampala in theevening. You will choose where the driver should transfer you, either to dropyou in Kampala or Entebbe area. End of the Trip
Note: Flying back from Bwindi is ideal for people who have been on a tour for three or more days and want to end with flying back to Entebbe and catch up with a flight whose departure may be imminent. But whatever the reason for flying to or back from Bwindi, its worth it.
