Detailed Gorilla Trip Plan
Day 1: Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park
Early morning, you will be transferred to the airport for a flight to Bwindi Forest. The flight usually takes between 50 minutes to 1 hour basing on the area of Bwindi where you will be trekking gorillas. Upon landing, a waiting driver will transfer you to the lodge for a restful day. Accommodation stay at Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge or Clouds Lodge (Full Board)
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking in Uganda
Take breakfast and transfer to the park offices for briefing about gorilla tracking in the jungle before starting real gorilla encounter. When you bump into the gorillas after some strenuous hiking, you will be filled with happiness and joy. You will take pictures; ask your guide some questions as you observe the gorillas intensely to your amusement. After an hour at the gorilla spot, return to the lodge for a peaceful stay. Overnight stay and dinner at Silverback Lodge, Mahogany Springs, Buhoma Lodge, Gorilla Safari Lodge or Clouds Lodge (Full Board)
Day 3: Transfer to Kampala by Road
Start the day with an early breakfast and then set off across the beautiful hills of Kabale as you return to Kampala. Have lunch enroute and continue to Kampala making a brief stopover at the Uganda Equator for some simple break and Mpambire traditional handicraft makers. Arrive in Kampala in the evening. You will choose where the driver should transfer you, either to drop you in Kampala or Entebbe area. End of the Trip.
Note: Flying back from Bwindi is ideal for people who have been on a tour for three or more days and want to end with flying back to Entebbe to catch up with a flight whose departure may be imminent. But whatever the reason for flying to or back from Bwindi for gorilla tracking, its worth it.
